Great Wolf Lodge

Last week we were at Great Wolf Lodge, it was so awesome. For those who don’t know, this is an indoor waterpark – with a hotel attached. Our room was on the waterpark level and we had to upgrade to a suite to hold all 6 of us (plus have some private space for Mom and Dad). The cool thing was the passes on your wrist was used for everything – room key, locker key, purchases etc… I don’t have time to give a formal review – but I would give it a 8 out of 10 – the only drawbacks were they had no child care, and the prices could be pretty high (we went during the off season). Here are some pics from the trip:

I choose you, and I’ll tell you why…

I recently completed a wedding DVD slideshow of some awesome images from an amazing photographer, Joel Robertson. I have included a snippet of the DVD to give you a sense of the artistic images he creates at weddings. If anyone you know is getting married why not check him out.

Glow in the Dark tour

I was fortunate enough to have great seats at the Kanye West concert last night !! Even though it was outside and cold and raining at the Ampitheatre, it was a sold out crowd. First Lupe came on did about 3 songs, then N.E.R.D did their “rock out” thing , then Rhianna did her sexy good girl gone bad thing. Then the main event, Kanye’s stage was designed like a hilly terrain with huge LED lights displaying the backdrop of all the stars and planets etc… The storyline was awesome as it strung his songs together with a theme, and created a spectacle of lights – what an assault on the senses !!! I put together some quick clips – I was so close to the stage that the audio is very distorted in the vid clips — arrgh, oh well enjoy while you can, cause youtube may take it down (then I will repost on another site in the mean time).

Here’s some better footage reposted from another fan site, for better quality:

And furthermore – another user that was further back than me (probally at 400 level as oppose to my 200 level) got a great vantage point and no distortion for the audio – so still worth the ticket :-)

Alicia Keys has nothing on me…

Miss Keys started playing piano at 7 years old, but my daughter, Daelynn, was inspired to play at the tender age of 15 mths — so looks like she is well on her way to a promising career :-)

Soccer season is back

When my son Izaiah said he wanted to go out for soccer, like good parents, we encouraged him. Izaiah is a very energetic kid, so soccer seemed like a great sport to showcase his great speed (he was nicknamed “Action Man” by his uncle). But since he also loves to dance, why not combine both ? Check out this clip to see what I mean… btw this clip was taken back in 2006 – he is now into Baseball – stay tuned for great outtakes from his season.

Visit to the ATL

I just came back from a great visit with Lawrence & Seely and his entire family in ATL. My god daughter, Lauren is so adorable, she had everyone’s attention, she was rarely put down, except to sleep. Lauren’s Christening was the main purpose of the trip, but we made time to get some shopping done – WOW the prices are awesome down there with our stronger dollar (did a little damage on the credit cards). Unfortunately I lost my voice on the way down there – so I wasn’t at 100% – still enjoyed myself anyway (so much food and fellowship)- just wished it was longer and that I had my family with me to enjoy the sites. Can’t end this post without saying something about the gorgeous houses I saw and again the prices are amazing (3000-4000 sq ft house starting at $200k)
